Why are people so hostile about the idea of putting clothing on pets?
Monday, January 29th, 2007I am not stupid- I know that pets do not NEED clothing. I have a 2 year old, small dog that I love dearly and take very good care of, and yes, I occasionally put clothing on her. It’s not cruelty nor is it hurting the pets in any way.
Yes, it is sometimes done for the owner’s own entertainment but that doesn’t make them a bad or irresponsible pet owner. There are also positive reasons for pets wearing clothing such as, it keeps their fur from getting dirty, it keeps them warm if they are small, and it makes them stand out more.
So, what do people get so irate about it? It’s not that big of a deal- lighten up!

Friday, January 26th, 2007How to successfully keep land hermit crabs as pets?
Friday, January 26th, 2007I want to start a crabitat to keep land hermit crabs as pets. What do I need to know to keep a livable crabitat for them and keep them alive for a long time? How do I set up the crabitat and molting tank? I’ve kept ‘hermies’ before but they’ve always fared poorly because I never could find info on crabitats and keeping them healthy. Anyone and anything that can help is much appreciated!

How can I get rid of cockroaches without endangering pets?
Thursday, January 18th, 2007Recently, our home has been invaded by cockroaches. Hundreds of them, hiding everywhere and in everything. We need to get rid of them (obviously), but we have pets and we have not wanted to use poisons or harmful materials.
Is there a safe way to rid a home of cockroaches that won’t endanger animals?
Is there a natural way? Is there ANY way?
We purchased an ultrasonic roach chaster but we’re not sure it’s helping (and we’re not so sure it won’t bother the animaals). Thank you for any advice
