I have noticed many people that own pets to have a distinct personality where they avoid human beings for companionship and would like their pets company anytime over human beings. Why is that so. Not that i am complaining, just a bit curious.

We have a 1 year old cat that needs CardioThorassic surgery and we can’t even come close to affording the cost. Has anyone ever heard of an organization that assists people with surgical costs for pets?
*Edit: We will already have to go to a university to have further work ups and to have the surgery done. Also, our pets are like our children. If there’s anything that we can do, finding him another family would be the absolute last possibility that would be considered.

Just an FYI, I like animals. I think they should be treated fairly, although maybe not to the extent PETA would like. But I do not condone animal cruelty. On that same note, first world countries treat animals like royalty at times. There are plenty of pet owners who treat pets like they are their own children and would spend easily 50+ bucks just so they’re dog could get a pampered bath and groom. Meanwhile, a starving third world child may struggles to get even a few cents worth of food with any nutritional value.

I am a very clean housekeeper. And a very clean person. And have NEVER had a horrible smell in my house as I do now.

I have no pets, esp NO cats or kittens or fish or anything. I didnt buy anything new, or use a new cleaner or anything.

And last night about 2am I started smelling a horrible cat pee smell. I took out my garbage, got rid of all my dirty laundry and checked everything in the house. And none of that was the sourse of the smell.

I checked all of the gas lines and pipes for the sewer stuff and nothing is leaking or seems to be the sourse.

Why would my house smell like cat pee/amonia? Has this ever happened to anyone before?
